gotta catch 'em all! my first ever video game console, the gba, came with pokemon fire red (hand-me-down from my cousin!) and sparked a whole new love for me. while i enjoy the anime as well, i've always been a more dedicated fan of the games. i don't do competitive, but i enjoy the stories and the friends, and that's what makes it so special to me.

I LOVE NUZLOCKES!!
The Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing the Pokémon games. A playthrough using these rules is often called "a Nuzlocke". Many challengers feel that the rules encourage the use of Pokémon the player would not normally choose and promote closer bonds with the player's team. The rules are not an in-game function, but rather, self-imposed on the player's part, and thus subject to variation.*
i've been completing Nuzlocke Challenges for over a decade now! they help create a more interesting narrative in what is generally a very simplistic game, and i've grown to really love some of the pokemon i've used for these runs, even when i would have never paid attention to them before! (skitty my beloved...)
